Join us at Brogdale Farm, Faversham, for a delightful few days in
the Kentish countryside.
Based on the actual farm which houses the National Fruit
collection, this collection is a unique Kent tourist attraction and
is an opportunity to explore and learn about, for instance, the apple
varieties Henry V111 would have eaten, the nuts Columbus would have
carried to America and the varieties of plum the Victorians loved so
Tours can be arranged around the farm and trees (hopefully in
blossom) and after that walk why not visit the Courtyard Cafe, full
of delicious homemade cakes and farm produce, or stroll around the
plant centre, various shops and the celebrated Brogdale butchers?
Off site, the charming and historic market town of Faversham is
only a short drive away, waiting for you to explore it. Full of
things to see and do you will be spoilt for choice between lovely old
buildings, old churches, ornate gardens as well as the Shepherd Neame
Brewery ( Britain’s oldest brewery), a museum and weekly markets
to name a few. You will also be well catered for by delightful cafes,
restaurants and pubs.
